A PASSION FOR MOTORSPORTS FUELLED BY TECHNICAL EXPERTISE For Paul Germain, a passion for Motorsports is what fueled a professional racing career and later built a winning business. During his early racing career, Paul worked for many of Winnipeg's dealerships as a technician. Gaining valuable experience, Paul established his reputation as a premier rider, technician and sought after tuner. In 1975, Paul started his first commercial venture, "Paul Germain Performance", from his father's backyard in St. Vital. By 1979, Paul Germain Performance expanded to a new location on Erin Street. A close association with Yamaha, forged during early racing years, developed into a Yamaha dealership in 1981. The business was renamed Wildwood Sports and moved to its present location on Pembina Highway. In 1988, BMW motorcycles were introduced and Ducati, a long time interest of Paul's, were added in 1995. Most recently Triumph motorcycles joined the other brands at Wildwood to create the most diverse lineup of motorcycle brands available under one roof in Manitoba Throughout the years, Wildwood Sports has always maintained its focus on being a strong service oriented dealership. More than just words, it's our reputation. In fact, it's our slogan - "You Ride On Our Reputation". With strong roots in the racing community, Wildwood Sports sponsored many local and national racers and went on to win many championships. This winning attitude and passion will always be at the heart of Wildwood Sports. Today Paul remains an active racer running a Yamaha 250cc GP bike in the AHRMA series in the US. He has been a consistent champion in the 250GP class as well as having taken the 350ccGP title. Additionally Paul keeps his hand in the flat track racing world. In 2009, Paul won an AMA Grand National Championship running a combination of road racing and flat track events. Paul has also been on the board of directors for the Manitoba Motorcycle Dealers Association and Winnipeg Snowmobile Association.
